The word "Civil War" has always been a loaded term. It's common for people to split into two camps, with those on one side favoring one decision and those on the other supporting an opposing choice. Whether it's about politics, religion or war, this conflict can be as violent as any reality war-game — and make no mistake: this fight between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark is no different. The 2016 Captain America movie offers a gripping look at the consequences of the personal choices we make in life and how they would affect others we love and care about. In Captain America Civil War the stakes are higher than ever as the world's protectors face off in an epic battle that will leave more than one hero lying in the balance. The movie opens at a UN conference where politicians from around the world are discussing whether they should regulate the Avengers. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is advocating for regulation while Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) feels that it's their job to protect people without registration. The disagreement leads to a scuffle between the two heroes followed by a shocking drone attack on both sides of the delegates, killing 22 international representatives and injuring 136 more. The aftermath reveals a masked assailant breaking into the building and stealing a hard drive containing detailed information on each of the Avengers. A figure is shown viewing the footage on a television screen. The UN, led by Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt), sign an accord where they will appoint an international panel to keep track of the Avengers' whereabouts at all times or face imprisonment. In response, Rogers refuses to sign the document while Stark supports it. When Tony arrives back in America he's met by his girlfriend, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who seems uneasy about something. She's later revealed to be a spy and she's reporting Stark's conversation with her father, who is in fact the mysterious figure seen in the footage. She tells Steve that she wants help to bring down Stark since she knows he doesn't believe in regulation like his other peers. At Stark Industries, Pepper receives a call from the UN informing her that they're apparently breaking into their facility and stealing object signatures. The Avengers are hardly able to defend themselves against an army of enhanced criminals and Cap barely participates in the defense. When it seems things can't get worse, Tony is attacked by several unidentified assailants and is left in critical condition. Meanwhile, the UN panel decides that until further notice, all Avengers will have to be detained and sent to a remote island for observation. It's also recommended that the Avengers team be disbanded since they're obviously not ready to operate under a set of rules. This news doesn't sit well with Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), who goes on the run along with Captain America and his new friend Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Not too long afterwards, a group of fighters led by War Machine (Don Cheadle) attack a compound where they believe one of the fugitives is hiding out. cfa1e77820
